Skin Tips that don't cost any money

If your following my blog on Instagram (@beautyandwellnessblog) you would already know that I love sharing reviews and skin tips for you. This week I shared a tip that cost's NOTHING and it inspired me to keep sharing! So this week, I'm going to share some more tips with you that can benefit your skin & your health without spending a penny.

First up,

Cleansing for longer

Cleansing for longer not only helps remove surface dirt but also will give your face a deeper clean, which it sometimes might not be getting with your everyday light cleanse. This tip is easy and convenient and can be added to anyone's routine. Instead of washing your face for the regular 30 seconds, try 60 seconds, you won't be disappointed.

You will be smiling like the lady in the picture ;)

Applying damp not dry

This is such a useful tip that I actually learnt years ago when working in aesthetics. Your skincare products will penetrate deeper and be more effective if they applied to damp skin. This is great for getting the most out of your targeted serums, toners and moisturisers! When you give this a try, you'll notice a HUGE difference in your skin.

You can thank me later for this one.

Turn over your pillow case

(eco tip!)

Instead of changing your pillowcase twice a week and wasting water and energy, you can simply just turn it over. It's so important to change your pillowcase on a regular basis, so much dirt, bacteria, oils from your hair and scalp, like to linger on here. Just think about how many hours we spend with out face on the pillow and all that dirt that can stick to our face! Doing this will help keep your skin cleaner over night and even help prevent breakouts and skin irritations.

Go to sleep

I've said it once and I'll say it again, SLEEP IS A BEAUTY PRODUCT. Getting enough hours of sleep at night will play not only a huge part in your skin health, but your body and mind too. Without getting enough sleep, you can be exposed to a lot of internal and external health problems. Sleep is what our body needs to reset and recharge. Think about your body as your phone, if you don't charge it, it won't turn on. If you do charge it, you can make phone calls, send emails and use all your apps. It's exactly the same with our bodies.

Facial exercises

These are a great one! You don't need tools or any fancy gadgets, you can simply just use your hands to help sculp and tone your face. Not only does it feel amazing it will help reduce puffiness and encourage lymphatic drainage. If we don't release toxins from our face and all that water retention, it can build up and make us look puffy and can even cause problems down the line.
